Terry Tao is the Director of Electronically Stored Information at TERIS.  A pioneer in e-discovery and digital forensics, Tao came to the TERIS Seattle office with more than 10 years of experience in litigation data management and trial support technology systems. He specializes in the practices of computer forensics, electronically stored information discovery, document production, and trial technologies.

With a background in computer science, Tao started his career organizing and building document repositories for discovery, and later gained expertise in electronic evidence handling, processing, review, and production.  Along with performing forensic document collection and computer forensics work like analyzing drives for deletion, Tao coordinates the searching and processing of e-mail and electronically stored data, and trains legal teams on the use of online data review applications.  With his diverse technology background, he has also designed and managed the architecture and methodology of dozens complex litigation projects in almost every facet of the process from initial concept and strategy to implementation.  He consults with major corporations and law firms on a wide range of technical matters including data gathering, electronic discovery and forensic data recovery. Tao is TERIS's Seattle-based Clearwell Administrator, and his deep knowledge of this tool has helped to earn TERIS Clearwell Gold status and the reputation for being the premire Clearwell provider in the Pacific Northwest. 

Tao graduated from Washington State University with a B.S. in Computer Science. Prior to joining TERIS, he worked as a forensics and e-discovery consultant at Seattle-based EED Inc., and later North Carolina-based TCDI Litigation Technology.

Megan Twibell — Senior Electronic Project Manager — Seattle Corporate Office

Megan Twibell is a Senior Electronic Project Manager at TERIS.  Twibell is a veteran in the litigation support industry with more than 8 years experience consulting with clients on mass document collections and review, presentation of evidence in the courtroom, database management, and various aspects of e-discovery projects including: data harvesting, processing, review methodology and production support.

Before beginning her career in litigation support in 2002 at Pacific Legal, Twibell was the Vice President of Operations for Medrecs, a Seattle based medical document collection service.  In 2006-2007 Megan provided courtroom database support and evidence management in the pretrial hearings of Canada v Japan Tobacco Incorporated, a multi-billion dollar tax fraud case in Toronto, Ontario.  Other benchmark projects include the de-duplication of historical records for The Commission of Inquiry into the Wrongful Conviction of David Milgaard and database support for the Air India Flight 182 trial in Vancouver, CA.

Over the past four years Twibell spearheaded the automation of discovery process and the implementation of web hosted document databases for the King County Prosecutors Office. Her vast technical expertise and client-focused approach provides TERIS clients with world-class client service.
